Terms
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy Hal's Year-Round Feeder Almanac or use the free Nectar Card. They are written to be read, not to hide anything in the last paragraph.
What you are buying
Three digital books, delivered as PDF files you download after purchase: the month-by-month feeding calendar, the seed and feeder handbook, and the hummingbird handbook. They are printable and can be read on a phone, tablet or computer. Nothing is shipped to you.
Price, payment and tax
The price is shown on the page in US dollars. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the sale: it takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT where it applies, and issues the receipt. Your card details go to Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors, never to us.
Delivery
Downloads are available as soon as the payment is confirmed, and the same links arrive by email. If the email does not arrive, or a link stops working, write to us and we will send the files again.
Refunds
If a file will not open, is not what the page describes, or you were charged twice, write to operaxor.arg@gmail.com and we will fix it or refund you. Because these are digital downloads, other change-of-mind refunds are handled case by case. Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer law of your own country, and Lemon Squeezy's own policies apply to the payment itself.
What you may do with the files
- Read them, print them, and keep them for your own household.
- Print a copy as a gift for one other household.
Please do not resell them, publish them, or pass them on as your own work. The writing and the illustrations belong to Hal's Bird Window / Hearth & Field Press.
About the guidance
The feeding advice is drawn from published sources named on the site and in the books. It is general guidance for backyard bird feeding, not a guarantee: birds are wildlife, local conditions differ, and what works at one window may not work at another.
The videos
The YouTube videos are presented by an AI-generated character, Hal. That is disclosed on the channel and here. The scripts are written and checked by a person.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. The terms in force when you bought your copy are the ones that apply to that purchase.
